T-SHIRTS NOW AVAILABLE!!

SHIRTBLOG.COM is finally a reality! you can now get your Jersey doesn't suck t-shirt. It was this grand idea to bring blog entry titles to t-shirts. what a concept right? To get it started I thought that I had to get in the t-shirt printing business. So I went on ebay and bought myself a screen printing kit and a heat press for digital transfers. The screen printing kit is unopened. I started with the famous Jersey Doesn't Suck t-shirt for friends. I also made a bunch of silly ones for friends that people get a kick out of at parties. One of my t-shirts actually made it on a tv show. People still tell me they want their Jersey doesn't suck shirt so I had to do it for the poeple. I teamed up with spreadshirt because they do a high quality flex print as opposed to a digital transfer, like cafepress. Tell your friends they are now available and buy one today and support sharkblog and shirtblog!

STAMP it Up FUZZBALL!!
When your wife tells you they would like to take up a hobby and asks for your opinion, think cautiously hobbies are not like they used to be. Since when is knitting so cool that you have to take 18 courses with friends in a social circle to finish one scarf? by the way, my grandma was the Jordan of knitting. The pictures you see are the invasion that has taken over our household. It's stamping greeting cards and my office and my vision to make it my own little place where pottery barn doesn't have a vote is absolutely over. When J9 was headed into stamping i said "sweet hallmark is a ripoff" Now there are the stamps, the cutters, the scissors that i can't use, a hair dryer that embosses things, stamp pads, colored paper, fringed paper with glitter, markers.... you get the picture. It is the craziest hobby out there, the wild all night parties, the late night idea for a card design, the $14 dollar magazines that give you ideas (true story) and trips to the only place in ny that sells stamps, the inkpad.. As the husband you can't even critique the design. In the end I love it just so i can make fun of it and J9 loves this new found creativity so I love it too!

Yellow Cars... Proof we have too much freedom!
Tonight while watching the Yankees play the devil rays thinking how pathetic I am, an unbelievable commercial came on. You know I'm all for celebrity endorsements, but I like when it's believable. Sure supermodels probably do wear maybelline and tiger woods probably does have an american express black card. However, there is no way, even if Derek Jeter is from jersey that he drives a yellow mustang. I like that he's pitching the american company that needs a face lift and I thought it was a good match. That was until in the latest commercial they do a "cribs" of his apartment and then show all his Ford cars, including a quick shot of him in a yellow mustang. Mustang ok, but the yellow car is not acceptable. I really wonder who introduced the yellow car to america? was it the 70's and the dodge dart? I know the yellow chevvette was popular. I have had the powder blue car many o times in my life, but never will make the jump to yellow unless I make the career move to cabbie.

Jersey Doesn't Smoke! This state has momentum
Jersey obsessed I still am. Shore season is right around the corner and you know what that means! yes, a tri-state area commercial with John Corzine walking the beach with a Bon Jovi song in the background. Yes, It's true. Bon Jovi and Bruce always step up to the plate for the good old nj. This year Jersey has a new slogan Jersey, come see for yourself. Wow Brilliant. I've always said there is a PR makeover needed but in the end I think you love nj or you loathe it. The best ideas for the slogan contest they had were posted on this weird nj forum. Everything is looking up for the good old nj. They banned smoking and can you believe that not one smoker stopped drinking at bars? A jersey resident just put a nickel in a slot machine in AC and won 10 Million Bucks! Soprano's are back! The devils pull off a miracle to win the division. The nets are winning and still nobody cares, except the campbells soup nets band. Best of all Clifton, new jersey is home of the hottest new yoga studio in the entire country, Yoga Centric. If you know Delana, you know she is the one that made yoga cool, and is bringing it to the people not those ny yuppie types. Go to the web site and find the pictures of Mike, they are classic.
Ok I can't resist. This pic needs to have a quote contest. I'll start.

"Would Someone please give me a high five"

crab rangoon, crab rangoon! Petition your local chinese take-out!
I have a friend in college who when you were ordering chinese food would run into the room and yell, crab rangoon, crab rangoon! could there be a better word on earth than RANGOON! I didn't even know what the crab rangoon was until college, but quickly became attached to this fried wonton-philly cream cheese wonder. The beauty of this delicious starter is that it was one of the earliest forms of chinese-american fusion, combining american cream cheese, fake crab meat and the fried wonton. Wikipedia states the crab rangoon was first served in the us in the early 1950's at Trader Vic's in California. It made it's way across the united states, tearing up wisconsin take out, hit middle america, 2 types in chi-town, upstate new york and made it as a staple on the boston area chinese food menu. Go check your appetizer section of your chinese food menu is it on your menu? please comment below! If you are on the west coast or in New York metro area chances are slim to none - no rangoon for you! Why? Some blogs who have tackled this thread on the web state it is due to the fact it is not really chinese food. Ok, I can buy that for a minute until i get to the chicken wing and bbq spareribs section of the menu. Also, chinese food take out in NYC have started to spin off mexican take out since they have mastered the art of quick quality food to your door in rain, sleet, snow or hail. So I still don't get it. Are they made fresh and require extra orders of philly cream cheese that can't be used in other dishes? I know new yorkers love fake crab and anything fried or random.I guess that leaves conspiracy. I found a handful of restuarants out of the 10 zillion in nyc that offer the dish, none in Brooklyn. I have listed them below. In the city where you can get anything at any time of the day or night, you can not get a crab rangoon and that is a shame, a real travesty. Any rangoons on the menu in jersey? I may have to move there sooner than later.

A moved entry!
This is all that survived from the now nameless failed blog......
We recently have been going through our wedding photos to make an album which will be done in 2020. We have lots of pics (about 1000 to be exact) from folks who attended the wedding with their digital or from our "don't call me chief" photographer. As we went through them 1 of them really tells the reception story, with the goal to bring the party to 11. Take a look at the great candid below. J9 dancing in the center with the vivacious crowd gathered in a circle. I am MIA. Everyone is either clapping or raising their hands in the air! Great Shot, Chief!

Great shot, but who invited FAME, I'm gonna live forever-guy in the picture? That's one of my favorite people and lets call him Rob. Rob doesn't just go to weddings, he becomes the wedding. Reception is his middle name. Take a look at the cheddar zoom cam below. It shows it all, the expression, the turn of the head to an exact 90 degrees, the open hand, the launch above the rest of the crowd. It's as if the town just reversed their decision in footloose. You can't just do this, you must be trained at juliard. A picture is worth more than 1000 words and I think it's time to take this act on the road! Thanks for the memories, we will never forget this one!

The blog important to so few is back again
Yes - It's finally back and this time it's for good. I know..there was a failed launch of another blog that I am even ashamed to name by name. This time I want to get back to the grassroots movement that stormed nyc 2 years ago gaining readership in the tens of twenties. I have been a bad, bad blogger. Blogging became to me, just so 2004. What has changed? The wedding is dunzo and we are living happily ever after in the BK, but this outlet has been missing. There have been so many wasted blogs since July and I need to get back on it.
Before we start up again, let's walk down memory lane shall we. Sharkblog started in November 04. A little trivia for you - was it the first sharkblog?..NO. That would be good old SHARKANSKY over at the original sharkblog Sharkansky tore up the seattle conservative blog scene, but made one crucial error he didn't get the domain name - I did. Sharkblog is easy to remember and it caught on with it's original content. There are hard hitting tips of the day, trips down memory lane and of course eating for 10 bucks a day in new york city. Sharkblog will and always will be a creative outlet and a place to share what is going on in my life with my friends. So lets get back on track! thanks for your patience.
