New Years tie gets retired
Happy New year everybody! On December 31st 2004, I retired my RED party new years tie. The ceremony was observed by a small group of people, Jeannine and I. This year, for the first time in 10+ years, I turned down those tempting offers for 100+ dollars and all you can drink until you get a 4 day hangover! It was a good run there, but all good things come to an end. Not to say i won't attend a party, but you won't catching me making trips to vacation lands, such as syracuse. One friend always claimed new years is amatuer night and i am starting to agree. Oremus called on thursday to wish a happy new year and review some of the highlights over the past ten years, including..
- the greatest new years ever in the hamptons where our college friends refused to take no for an answer and actually came to my house and stole pizza right out my dad's hands.
- At Dudley's when i couldn't find a place to sleep after staying up late, using the cardboard from the 6 foot sub as a resting place..
- The party i decided to throw at my parents house where friends decided to play beiruit in my laundry room, drank every bit of alcohol (including vintage 70's creme de mint) and 2 6-foot 300 pounders tried to square off next to my mom's hummels! ahh memories....
- the 12 hour drive back from boston after new years 2002..
Please fell free to share some more new years memories.. it was a good run...
